Tesla car key replacement & programming.
Lost your Tesla key, broken it in the ignition, or need a programmed spare? We come to you — driveway, parking lot, dealership lot — and cut and program your replacement key on-site. Tesla key service is currently dealer-only — Tesla's security architecture requires owner-account access that aftermarket locksmiths cannot bypass. We refer all Tesla owners to Tesla Service / Tesla Roadside. Family-owned with dealer-grade equipment in every truck since 2007.
What's specific about Tesla keys.
Tesla doesn't use a traditional immobilizer — three credential types authenticate to the vehicle: the Tesla mobile app (phone key), a key card with NFC, and an optional key fob. Lost or compromised credentials are managed through the owner's Tesla account, and Tesla has not released aftermarket access to its key-pairing or account-recovery system. As of this writing, all Tesla key replacement, key card pairing, and lockout recovery is handled exclusively through Tesla Service or Tesla Roadside Assistance — there is no aftermarket locksmith path. We're honest about this rather than wasting your time on a dispatch that can't be completed.
Tesla key — dealer vs. us.
We do the same programming as the Tesla dealer, with the same dealer-grade equipment, on-site instead of at the service drive.
Tesla models we service most.
Coverage typically extends across the full Tesla lineup. If your model isn't listed, call us — we likely cover it.
Tesla key replacement pricing.
All-in pricing — blank, cutting, on-site programming, dispatch. Final price confirmed on the phone before we leave the shop.

Common Tesla questions.
Can you replace a Tesla key fob?
Currently no — Tesla key replacement is dealer-only (Tesla Service Center). Tesla has not released aftermarket access to its key-pairing system, so no locksmith can program a Tesla fob, key card, or phone key. Contact Tesla Service or Tesla Roadside Assistance directly through your Tesla mobile app.
What if I lost my Tesla key card?
Same answer — Tesla Service handles key card pairing through your account. If you still have phone-key access, you can add a new card via the touchscreen yourself; if not, contact Tesla Service.
What if I'm locked out of my Tesla entirely (no phone, no card, no fob)?
Contact Tesla Roadside Assistance through your Tesla mobile app or by phone. Tesla Roadside has the credentials to remotely unlock and re-pair the vehicle to your account. We cannot bypass Tesla's security architecture and we won't try.
Do you handle Cybertruck key cards?
Same as the rest of the Tesla lineup — Cybertruck key service is exclusively through Tesla Service. We don't have aftermarket access to Cybertruck key programming.
Why don't locksmiths handle Tesla?
Tesla's vertically-integrated service model intentionally keeps key programming inside Tesla's authorized network. Unlike traditional automakers (Ford, BMW, Mercedes, etc.) who sell aftermarket equipment access to qualified locksmiths, Tesla doesn't. The result: every Tesla key job is a dealer / Tesla Service job. We expect this may change long-term but it's the current reality.
