Privacy Policy.
Last updated: May 19, 2026. This policy describes what information we collect when you use our website or contact us, and how we use it.
Note: This policy applies to all visitors and customers of American Best Locksmith Inc.. If anything below conflicts with applicable law in your state of residence, the law controls and the rest of the policy continues in effect.
Information we collect
When you call us, you may provide your name, phone number, address, and information about the work you need. When you submit a contact form, we collect the fields you fill in (name, phone, email, city, message) plus your IP address and basic browser information for spam prevention. For service appointments, we may also collect: vehicle year, make, model, and VIN; photo ID and proof of ownership documentation viewed on-site (not retained beyond verification); and payment information for processing.
Categories of personal information collected (CCPA/CPRA): identifiers (name, email, phone, postal address); commercial information (service records, transaction history); internet or network activity (IP address, browser type, referring page); geolocation data (only the city/area you tell us, for dispatch); professional information (B2B accounts only).
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your service request, dispatch a technician, follow up on completed work, and send invoices or receipts. For B2B accounts, we may use your information to send proposals, contracts, certificates of insurance, and recurring invoices. We do not use your information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Phone calls and text messages
When you provide your phone number through our website, by call, or in person, you consent to receiving calls and text messages from American Best Locksmith Inc. relating to your service request — including dispatch updates, arrival ETAs, completion notices, invoices, follow-up confirmations, and customer-service communications. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message or by emailing service@americanbestlocksmith.com. Reply HELP for help. Opting out of marketing or follow-up messages will not affect dispatch communication for an active service request you've initiated.
We do not share phone numbers with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Call recordings
We record incoming and outgoing telephone calls on all of our service lines (toll-free, Philadelphia, South Jersey, Wilmington, and Houston). Recordings are used for quality assurance, technician training, dispatch accuracy, dispute resolution, and to maintain an accurate record of service requests and quoted pricing.
Disclosure at start of call. Pennsylvania and Delaware are two-party consent states (18 Pa.C.S. § 5703 and 11 Del. C. § 1335). We disclose that the call is being recorded at the start of every call, before substantive conversation begins. By continuing the call after that disclosure, you consent to the recording. New Jersey and Texas are one-party consent states; we disclose recording on those lines as a matter of policy.
If you do not consent to being recorded, tell the person who answers at the start of the call and we will end the recording or, if recording cannot be paused on that line, end the call. You may then reach us by email at service@americanbestlocksmith.com or by submitting our contact form.
Retention. Call recordings are retained for ninety days, after which they are automatically deleted — unless retained longer in connection with an active dispute, fraud investigation, billing inquiry, or legal-hold obligation. We do not share recordings with third parties except when required by valid legal process or as needed to defend ourselves in a dispute.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with: (1) our technicians dispatched to your job; (2) our accounting and invoicing systems (under data-processing agreements); (3) law enforcement when required by valid legal process; and (4) third-party service providers we use to operate the business — Web3Forms (contact-form processing), Cloudflare (hosting, security, and Turnstile captcha), Google Workspace (email and calendar). These providers process information on our behalf under written agreements that limit how they may use it.
Data retention
We retain customer information only as long as we have a legitimate business need for it: service-record and invoice information for up to seven years (matching standard tax and accounting requirements); inquiry and contact-form submissions for up to twenty-four months; B2B account records for the duration of the account plus seven years after termination. Information held for spam-prevention (IP address, browser fingerprint) is retained for ninety days. After applicable retention periods we delete or anonymize the information.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses Cloudflare's privacy-friendly captcha (Turnstile), which sets a small cookie to verify you're human and to prevent automated form submission. Turnstile does not track you across sites. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies, or any other cross-site tracking. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and provide a cookie-consent mechanism where required by applicable law.
Your rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to: (a) request a copy of the personal information we have about you; (b) request that we correct inaccurate information; (c) request that we delete your information (subject to retention obligations under tax, accounting, and other laws); (d) opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share); (e) limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under CCPA); and (f) be free from retaliation for exercising your rights.
How to make a request. Email service@americanbestlocksmith.com with your request, the email address or phone number we have on file, and enough information for us to verify your identity. We will acknowledge your request within ten business days and will respond substantively within forty-five days (or notify you of a forty-five-day extension if needed).
California residents: You have all of the rights listed above under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly process the personal information of consumers under sixteen without consent. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under thirteen, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Data security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including: TLS encryption for all data in transit between your browser and our servers; access controls limiting who on our team can view customer information; periodic review of third-party processors. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
State-specific notices
New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Texas residents. The states where we operate each have data-breach notification laws. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate state authorities consistent with applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. For material changes affecting how we use information you've already provided, we will provide additional notice (email, prominent website notice, or both) where required by applicable law.
