What's specific about BMW Motorrad keys.
BMW Motorrad uses transponder immobilizers across the modern lineup, with Keyless Ride (proximity) on premium R-series, K-series, and S 1000 RR trims. Programming requires BMW Motorrad-specific equipment that most generic motorcycle locksmiths don't carry. We do. The R 1250 GS / R 1300 GS and the S 1000 RR are particularly common Keyless Ride calls in our markets.
BMW Motorrad models we service most.
Coverage typically extends across the full BMW Motorrad lineup. If your model isn't listed, call us — we likely cover it.
BMW Motorrad motorcycle key pricing.
Mechanical / regular keys are flat-rate. Programmed keys (transponder, smart key, push-to-start) and all-keys-lost vary too much by year, model, and immobilizer system to publish a fixed range — quoted by phone before dispatch.
Whatever we quote on the phone is what you pay on arrival — key blank, cutting, on-site programming, dispatch all included. For the full motorcycle-services overview see the /motorcycle-keys parent page.
Common BMW Motorrad questions.
What's BMW Keyless Ride?
Keyless Ride is BMW Motorrad's proximity-key system on premium R, K, and S trims. The fob handshakes with the bike's ECU within proximity range — no key insertion required. Programmed on-site with BMW-specific equipment.
Can you do a R 1250 GS or R 1300 GS Adventure key on-site?
Yes — both are common BMW Motorrad calls. Keyless Ride programmed in your driveway or garage. Quoted by phone with year and VIN.
S 1000 RR with Keyless Ride — same approach?
Yes — S 1000 RR Keyless Ride is within our equipment coverage. Programmed on-site, typical 60–90 minutes.
Older R or K bikes without Keyless Ride — easier?
Yes. Older BMW Motorrad models (pre-2014 R / K series) often use mechanical ignition keys with optional EWS-style transponder. Programming is simpler than current Keyless Ride bikes.
