Yamaha motorcycle key replacement & programming.
Lost your Yamaha key, broken it in the ignition, or need a programmed spare? We come to you — driveway, parking lot, dealership lot, marina (for watercraft) — and cut and program your replacement key on-site. Yamaha runs from YZF supersports to V-Star cruisers to Ténéré adventure bikes — three key generations across the lineup. Family-owned with dealer-grade equipment in every truck since 2007.
What's specific about Yamaha keys.
Yamaha uses three key generations: simple mechanical ignition keys on older V-Star, Bolt, and entry-level cruisers; the Yamaha Immobilizer transponder system on modern YZF-R, MT-series, FJR, and Tracer; and Smart Key proximity systems on premium current models like FJR1300 and select Ténéré trims. We program every Yamaha generation on-site.
Yamaha models we service most.
Coverage typically extends across the full Yamaha lineup. If your model isn't listed, call us — we likely cover it.
Yamaha motorcycle key pricing.
Mechanical / regular keys are flat-rate. Programmed keys (transponder, smart key, push-to-start) and all-keys-lost vary too much by year, model, and immobilizer system to publish a fixed range — quoted by phone before dispatch.
Whatever we quote on the phone is what you pay on arrival — key blank, cutting, on-site programming, dispatch all included. For the full motorcycle-services overview see the /motorcycle-keys parent page.
Common Yamaha questions.
Does my Yamaha have an immobilizer?
Most modern Yamaha YZF-R, MT-series, FJR, and Ténéré models do — they use Yamaha Immobilizer transponder keys. V-Star, Bolt, and older cruisers typically don't. Confirm by year and model when you call.
Can you do an FJR1300 smart key on-site?
Yes — FJR1300 (current trims) use Yamaha Smart Key. Programmed on-site. Quoted by phone with year and VIN.
What about the new Tracer 9 GT?
Tracer 9 GT uses the current Yamaha Immobilizer system. Programmed on-site, typical 30–60 minutes for spare with working key, 60–90 for all-keys-lost.
Older V-Star or Bolt — easier?
Yes. V-Star and Bolt use straightforward mechanical ignition keys. $185–$250 flat-rate, cut on-site, no programming required.
