What's specific about Subaru keys.

Subaru uses three key generations across modern model years — older mechanical transponder, mid-era remote head (flip key) keys, and current Smart Proximity / push-to-start. Outback, Forester, and Crosstrek are the high-volume models; WRX and BRZ are enthusiast favorites with the same key platform. Subaru's keys are well-supported in our equipment libraries — broad model coverage, available aftermarket blanks.

Dealer vs. mobile locksmith

Subaru key — dealer vs. us.

We do the same programming as the Subaru dealer, with the same dealer-grade equipment, on-site instead of at the service drive.

FAQ

Common Subaru questions.

Can you do a Subaru Outback smart key replacement?

Yes — Outback is one of the most common calls in our automotive volume. Smart key with proximity entry, programmed on-site in 30–60 minutes. Cherry Hill, Mt Laurel, and Main Line PA see particularly heavy Subaru ownership.

What about WRX and STI performance models?

WRX (current) and STI (legacy) use the standard Subaru Smart Key or transponder platform depending on year. Performance trim doesn't change the key — same programming approach.

Do you handle BRZ keys?

Yes. BRZ (the Subaru sports-car twin to the Toyota GR86) uses the standard Subaru Smart Key. Programming is identical to the GR86 platform with Subaru-branded fobs.

Can you do all-keys-lost on a Subaru without towing?

Yes — Subaru all-keys-lost runs 30–60 minutes on-site for most modern models. We add a new key directly to the immobilizer system. We need VIN and ownership documentation.
