What's specific about Mazda keys.

Mazda's Advanced Keyless system covers current Mazda3, CX-5, CX-9, CX-30, CX-50, and CX-90 models with proximity entry and push-to-start. Older Mazda models (pre-2014 Mazda3, CX-7, CX-9 first-gen, MX-5 Miata NC) use earlier Mazda transponder systems. The MX-5 Miata in particular has a dedicated enthusiast following — we see steady Miata key calls across our markets.

Dealer vs. mobile locksmith

Mazda key — dealer vs. us.

We do the same programming as the Mazda dealer, with the same dealer-grade equipment, on-site instead of at the service drive.

FAQ

Common Mazda questions.

Can you do a Mazda CX-5 smart key in our driveway?

Yes — CX-5 is the most common Mazda call we get. Smart key with proximity entry, 30–60 minutes on-site.

What about the new CX-90 (Mazda's larger flagship SUV)?

CX-90 (introduced 2024) uses the standard Mazda Advanced Keyless platform. Within our equipment coverage. Bring year and VIN when you call.

MX-5 Miata key replacement — anything special?

Modern Miata (ND, 2016+) uses the standard Mazda smart-key platform. Older NC (2006–2015) and NB (1999–2005) Miatas use earlier Mazda transponders or pure mechanical keys. We have all generations covered.

Do you do older Mazda RX-7 and RX-8 keys?

Yes — RX-7 (FD, 1992–2002) used early transponder or non-immobilizer keys depending on year and market. RX-8 (2004–2012) used Mazda transponder. Both are within our coverage. These are increasingly enthusiast vehicles, often missing original keys.
