What's specific about Harley-Davidson keys.
Most current Harley-Davidson Sportster, Touring, and Softail models still use a mechanical ignition key — no transponder, no programming required. Cut on-site from key code or by impressioning the ignition. Smart Security fobs (factory-installed on most current Touring and CVO trims) are programmed separately through the bike's instrument cluster — we handle both. Older V-Rod, Dyna, and CVO trims occasionally have transponder keys we also program on-site.

Harley-Davidson motorcycle key pricing.
Mechanical / regular keys are flat-rate. Programmed keys (transponder, smart key, push-to-start) and all-keys-lost vary too much by year, model, and immobilizer system to publish a fixed range — quoted by phone before dispatch.

Common Harley-Davidson questions.
Most Harleys still use a mechanical key — why?
Harley has historically used straightforward mechanical ignition keys with optional Smart Security fobs as the anti-theft layer. Mechanical keys are cheap to replace ($185–$250 flat-rate from us) and the Smart Security fob handshakes separately. Some Touring and CVO trims have integrated keyless ignition, which we also program.
Can you make a Harley key from VIN if I lost all of them?
Yes — most Harley ignition cylinders can be cut by code from VIN, or we can impression the lock on-site. All-keys-lost on a mechanical-key Harley typically takes 30–45 minutes. Smart Security fob pairing happens separately through the bike's setup menu.
Do you handle current CVO and keyless-start Touring trims?
Yes — current Touring CVO models with proximity / keyless-start use the latest Harley platform. Programming is more involved than mechanical keys but still on-site. Call ahead with year, model, and VIN.
What about vintage Sportster (Ironhead, Evo era)?
Vintage Sportsters use simple mechanical ignition keys without any electronic anti-theft. Cut by code or impression. Routine work for us across our markets.
